Master measuring processes to minimize quality unit costs

Current trends of measurement technology concern analyzing process capability.
In this context, the Bosch booklet 10 is to be mentioned as an important guide. This includes descriptions like the procedure of %GRR methods, which just allows 1/40th of the tolerance as a variation between repeating individual measured value. E.g., a tolerance of 1 µm will be no more than 14 nanometers. This in turn leads to more multi-axis machines by at least a minimum level of reduced influence of the user in the history of measurement technology development.

Closed loop as the control of the producing machine through the results of the measuring station is already state of the art. Most important is that a stable connected measuring process operates without any outlier effect. Otherwise the process will be “uncontrollable”. In the future, closed loop will be focused on the combination of processing machine vs. measuring station.
